What’s been happening:

I have worked at National Jewish Health (NJH) in Denver for 33 years. NJH helped fund my Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. I graduated from UCD with honors in 1997. My job as Director of the Department of Medicine, which I have held for over 30 years, is challenging and rewarding. I manage the finances and administration for over 140 faculty members. National Jewish Health has been awarded US News and World Report's best respiratory hospital in the US for 11 straight years. Along with my staff, I manage over $30 million in institutional and grant funds. My degree at Penn State was key to my success at NJH. I have a son, Karl, who is 33 years old and two grandchildren.
